Growing up in South Florida, I was 8 when we won our first title in ‘83. I lived every Hurricanes moment, every title, bleeding orange and green. Even as a USF alum, it’s all Canes, all the time.

Toast

Growing up in West Hartford, CT, I needed a college football team in the ‘80s. Miami’s bold 20-0 win over Notre Dame hooked me for life. Moving to South Florida fueled my love for the Canes, and years later, the Orange Bowl Boys podcast was born.

#149: Miami Misses College Football Playoff – You’re Hot and You’re Loose

In an effort to avoid talking about the fallout from the Canes missing the College Football Playoff, we decide to open with National Signing Day and the Canes coming in with the 14th best class in the nation. And with Mario pulling the top class in the ACC, it still feels like his class suffered from the team being left out of the Playoff.

Toast also expresses his disappointment in the fan base’s reaction to the Canes missing the playoff and not celebrating an impressive 10-2 season. Roman though feels like everyone is upset because you were so close, largely because the system is rigged, and they argue heavily about the “strength of schedule” argument.
