Growing up in South Florida, I was 8 when we won our first title in ‘83. I lived every Hurricanes moment, every title, bleeding orange and green. Even as a USF alum, it’s all Canes, all the time.

Toast

Growing up in West Hartford, CT, I needed a college football team in the ‘80s. Miami’s bold 20-0 win over Notre Dame hooked me for life. Moving to South Florida fueled my love for the Canes, and years later, the Orange Bowl Boys podcast was born.

We open the show with some hilarious talk about Roman's new 3-Bugle fireman's hat, which launches us into a hilarious round of “hat talk” that somehow culminates in a full Santa Scoop outfit. We also get down to Greentree as we watch the Washington State portal QB John Mateer choose Oklahoma over Miami, which we can't really figure out with Oklahoma's offensive line. So we now debate about if we're good to ride with Emory Williams now that the biggest portal QB has passed.
