It's Spring practice in Miami and the guys are excited to talk football with Shawne Merriman! And as Spring ball rolls on we are starting to turn up the hype level on the 2025 Canes as guys like Hayden Lowe start to show out and impress the coaching staff. Plus everyone seems to be big on the defensive additions including Xavier Lucas, who Wisconsin continues to whine about losing which tells Ro he's the real deal. The Canes came in at #2 on USA Today's spring rankings, which doesn't mean much in the Spring, especially with FSU all the way up to #8 somehow.

Then we are joined by NFL legend Shawne Merriman, who immediately gets into the origins of his iconic “Lights Out” nickname, and how he knocked out four kids in a game in high school. He also jokes about how he started the Lights Out dance while at Maryland and coach Ralph Friedgen shut it down, and it didn't surface again until the NFL. Shawne also shares some iconic stories about almost decommitting from Maryland to go to Miami, how Ralph Friedgen once played quarterback and how much the rules of pro football have changed since he last played. And how Shawne went from the NFL into MMA is an iconic story about Jay Glaze and Randy Couture, and when he knew he could grow it into a cool new network.

Shawne also gets into the depths of his fandom for MMA and UFC, and how his Lights Out Xtreme Fighting has become a feeder for pro fighting. He also jokes with the guys about WWE, including his all time favorite wrestlers, and how he's had the opportunity to be in the ring and meet some of the legends. And there is no way we part with Shawne before talking to him about his biggest defensive plays in the NFL and what his NIL number would be if he played today.

And we close out with another round of Five Questions – including would your kids be off limits to the media if they were professional ball players (spurring a huge debate about Bronny James and his voyage to the NBA), the ingredients on your ultimate sandwich, a single line from a comedy film everyone knows, the ugliest car ever made, and where we feel completely at home.
